1. Making a booking
Household services available for direct booking are booked through JAE Services' SumUp booking service. A booking is confirmed when the customer accepts the service, price, date and information shown in the booking service. Other work is agreed through a quote or order confirmation.
The customer must provide accurate information about the site's size, condition, materials, access and safety factors. Safe and unobstructed access, electricity and hot and cold water must be available unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Price and payment
- All prices shown on the website are stated at VAT 0%. JAE Services is not registered for VAT.
- The price of a standard online booking service is shown in SumUp before confirming the booking.
- The minimum charge for hourly work is 1 hour, and each started hour is charged in full unless otherwise agreed in the quote.
- Private customers can pay by card when the service is provided or by invoice. The payment term is 14 days from the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
- Business customers are normally invoiced monthly in arrears as agreed.
- Email invoices and e-invoices are free of charge. Paper invoices carry a €5 invoicing fee.
- Late payments may incur interest under the Finnish Interest Act and reminder and collection costs permitted by law.
3. Rescheduling and cancellation by private customers
- Rescheduling or cancellation at least 24 hours before the agreed start time is free of charge.
- For cancellation less than 24 hours before the start, a reasonable fee of up to 50% of the agreed visit price may be charged if the reserved time cannot reasonably be used for other work. Saved costs are deducted.
- If work cannot start because access is unavailable or the customer is absent, a fee reflecting actual reasonable costs and lost working time may be charged, up to the agreed visit price.
- JAE Services may reduce or waive the fee according to the circumstances.
4. Rescheduling and cancellation by business customers
- An individual job can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge at least 48 hours before the start.
- Cancellation 24–48 hours before the start may incur a charge of 50% of the agreed price.
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the start or failure to provide agreed access may incur the full agreed price.
- Saved costs and time used for other billable work are deducted from the cancellation fee. Non-cancellable materials and subcontracting ordered for the customer may be charged.
5. Statutory right of withdrawal for distance and off-premises contracts
For distance and off-premises contracts, consumers generally have the right to withdraw from a service contract within 14 days of concluding it. If the consumer requests work to start before that period ends and withdraws while the service is incomplete, a reasonable proportion of the total price for work already performed may be charged as provided by law. The right of withdrawal for a fully completed service can cease only where permitted by law. Detailed instructions and a model withdrawal form are included in the consumer contract terms.
6. Cancellation by JAE Services
If JAE Services has to cancel a visit, the customer is offered a reasonable new appointment at no additional charge. Advance payment for the cancelled service is refunded unless the customer accepts a new appointment.
7. Giving notice
Requests to reschedule, cancellations, invoice queries and complaints should primarily be emailed to asiakaspalvelu@jae-services.fi. In urgent situations, you can also call 050 585 0030. Include the booking name, date and service.
